Role Summary:

An experienced and highly motivated production optimization engineer is required for analyzing real-time and historical SCADA data to identify opportunities to increase well production by improving wellbore performance and enhancing artificial lift equipment run life. The successful candidate will use a range of digital solutions to analyze trends, operating conditions, well and reservoir characteristics to recommend best practices and provide technical reports. The candidate must be familiar with design, sizing and field operations of all forms of artificial lift technologies, especially electrical submersible pumps (ESPs). Prolific in technical writing with a penchant for operational details, project management, effective communications, and excellent time-management skills are critical to be successful in this role.

Essential Responsibilities:
 
Analysis of artificial lift systems and providing technical recommendations to reduce pump downtime and enhance well production
Strategize and support regional account managers to help grow the company's market share of artificial lift systems through technical engagements
Regular customer presentations and deep technical discussions
Publish SPE papers and provide case study papers at the end of each project
 

Qualifications/Requirements:
5+ years of experience in design, sizing and field operations of artificial lift systems
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or computer science
Excellent working knowledge of one or more software systems such as ProductionLink, LOWIS, Inspatial, RMC, espWatcher, XPSOC, Cygnet, vMonitor etc.
High-level technical knowledge of upstream oil and gas production processes
Strong oral and written communication skills
 

Desired Characteristics:
Excellent working knowledge of ESP and other forms of artificial lift failure modes and corrective actions
Ability to apply critical Well operation diagnostics
Experience in artificial lift SCADA and well site automation
Prior background in software project management with an operator or service company
