Essential Responsibilities:

Technical and commercial leadership of the applications engineering projects team including Pre-FEED, FEED, Tendering, Pre-project award, and Handover activities. 

People management & development of the applications engineering team including Competency Assessment and Training

Provide management and general oversight to multiple Subsea systems bid preparation activities including coordinating resources, scheduling activities across applications projects/regions, ensuring compliance to internal processes as well as maintain group profitability/project hour charge out (wrt tender CTR).

Deliver on time, accurate Subsea Systems technical design architectures to FEED and Tendering teams, inclusive of resourcing, engineering hour count, MEL's, BOM's, TRL and risk profiling.

Maintain IP Culture within FEED and Tendering Teams 

Interface with Cross-Functional Dependencies in the pursuit of new business to deliver the most optimal solution 

Works closely with the Subsea ITO Commercial Teams (Inquiry to Order) function to ensure accurate and uniform input into tendering and pre-award engineering activities, as well, as the accurate transition of the systems engineering function into the project delivery phase (Inclusive of workflow and procedure).

Provide technical support to commercial/tender team as required, maintaining continuity of ownership of the developed technical solution

Works closely with the Subsea Production System engineering resource manager to ensure the required resource profile, competency and skill sets are available to support the business needs (including participation within the recruitment process)

Works closely with the engineering training manager to ensure the required resources, competency and skill sets are in place including maintaining competency assessments of the respective teams to identify areas of required training 

Interface with product platform and Engineering CoE to develop, improve, maintain & optimize integrated Subsea systems solutions. 

Accountable for securing and reporting KPI delivery for the team as determined by the Engineering Director

Acts as the management focal point for the systems engineering projects engineering teams. 

Representation, report writing, and presentation on Integrated Subsea systems engineering as required 

Contributes to engineering communications and team briefs on Subsea systems engineering. 

Shall work to develop, improve and maintain key processes, procedures and tool development aimed at improving the overall quality of our deliverables across the Early Phase/Application Engineering Global teams.

Support key Global Transformation Initiatives as defined by the SPS Engineering Director 

Support Regionalization Efforts by structuring global teams, competency and skill sets as required 

A strong commercial competence (Cost, Schedule, Resource, Risk) shall be required for this key role.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree/Equivalent in Engineering or other related fields 

2+ years of related experience, with preference to individuals with strong Subsea systems background 

Preferably a member of a professional body e.g. I MechE or Ideally a CEng 

Demonstrable depth of Subsea Engineering Experience.

Astute in the areas of value definition of Subsea Production System architectures, and the ability to articulate same into the client value proposition.

Strong skillset within areas of project management, project execution, project scheduling, and project risk definition & remediation.
