Responsibilities
Key Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• This position requires a strong working knowledge of API ( American Petroleum Institute) /ASME ( American Society of Mechanical Engineer) codes,
• This position is responsible for evaluating inspection results to ensure continued reliable service of fixed equipment.
• This position shall have a comprehensive understanding of the design, corrosion mechanisms and repair of fixed
• This position will be responsible for reviewing Fitness for Service evaluations, identifying areas of concern and developing corrective action plans.
• This position will be responsible for interfacing with Operations, Central Maintenance and IMPACT teams to implement successful and economical inspection campaigns and repairs.
• The candidate shall be proficient in scheduling inspections and maintaining fixed equipment records within the Inspection Data Management System (IDMS) and Central Maintenance Management System (CMMS) data bases.
• Participate in RCA ( Root Cause Analysis) Investigations that relate to fixed equipment failures due to material design and/or corrosion & erosion issues.
• This position will demonstrate strong teamwork ethics and principles and HSE focus through behaviors, actions and decisions.
• This position will demonstrate a clear commitment to HSE and exhibits Incident and Injury free leadership behaviors.
• This position will have proficient understanding & working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 10 years of experience
• One or more current API 570, API 653, API 510, CWI (certified Welding Inspector), UT/MT (Ultrasonic & Magnetic Testing) Level II (or the ability to obtain required certifications within the first 12 months)
• Demonstrated prior experience in inspection and repair of pipelines, refining, chemical and/or gas plant equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience and/or training in Risk Based Inspection (API 580/581), Fitness for Service (API 579) and Damage Mechanisms (API 571).
• API 1169 ( Pipeline Construction Inspector) Certification
