Job Duties
• Analysis and interpretation of soil reports and seismic reports
• Basic and detail engineering for all civil and structural activities as required by project
• Planning of structures, buildings, roads, drainage and marine systems as required by project
• Profound knowledge of the HOAI for buildings, civil engineering structures, roads and dewatering facilities in the service phases 5 to 7
• Estimation of materials and engineering manhours
• Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering design documents
• Perform structural design and analysis using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills and experience
• Supervise the designers of the Plant 3D Model
• Supervision of Designers/Drafters activities
• Coordinate work with other disciplines such as piping, mechanical, electrical, etc.
• ITB preparation during project execution for subcontracting of engineering works and coordination/supervision of these works
• Checking of engineering documents prepared by subcontractors
• Technical handling of inquiries and purchase orders
• To support site activities, if required
• Development of civil and structural standards (technical as well as organizational)
• Continuous improvement of design and work processes, interfaces and design standards
• Alignment with project teams
Required educational background / skills and knowledge:
• Bachelor/ Master's degree in civil/structural engineering
• Several years of experience in Civil and Structural design
• Knowledge of applicable national and international codes and standards
• Knowledge of finite element analysis software
• Working knowledge of AutoCad or other drafting software (PDMS or Tekla Structure would be an advantage)
• Structured way of working, high self-motivation, team spirit and assertiveness
• Highly open minded, experienced in working in international teams
• Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills
