-To have overall responsibility for all site operations, personnel supervision, security, and safety.
-To have overall responsibility for and ensure that Safe Systems of Work on site are in place and complied with at all times by all personnel. Develop and ensure a safe culture is instilled and complied with at all levels.
-To be aware of and ensure site personnel (employed or contracted) meet the minimum certificated training standards, identifying and alerting HR/Training where there is non-compliance so remedial actions can be taken.
-To plan, coordinate and report using MS Project.
-To make and document safety inspections to ensure construction and site safety always complying with Company SMS.
-To liaise with the management team and report progress, to professional staff, architects, surveyors, and the public
-To oversee and confirm delivery/return of materials and removal of waste.
-To check and prepare site reports, designs and drawings
Requirements:
-Bachelor of civil engineering or related discipline
-Membership of COREN, NSE a must.
-Strong management ability with a 'can-do’ professional approach, able to plan, communicate and give clear and concise instructions, organized and thorough. Current HSE and regulatory knowledge. Managing, Team Leading and motivating.
-Role and industry experience, a natural ability to be encouraging yet assertive as any situation might dictate.
-Confident and able to conduct toolbox talks, deal with absence, poor performance, respond to emergency situations.
