The primary responsibility of the Controls Engineer (Engineer I) will be to assist the automation engineering team in various day-to-day tasks
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-PLC programming and HMI development
-Imaging: Create computer images, update/maintain the computer images, image computers, work with sales for quoting, work with warehouse for inventory and shipping logistics
-Remote Support/Maintenance: Use LogMeIn to update/maintain remote computers, assist in troubleshooting by taking HMI, PLC, log file uploads, update/maintain OPC UA Servers. Work closely with customers
Legacy HMI: Assist with quoting and performing legacy HMI upgrades and updates
Software Testing: Test IO, alarms, interlocks, and basic functionality of drilling equipment software. Be able to clearly document test findings for engineering
Aftermarket Support: Become a liaison between automation engineering and the customer and/or other support groups for troubleshooting
Documentation: Review procedures, use drawings to create IO lists, maintain a record of AFAL software.
EDUCATION:
5-year degree in Controls& Instrumentation, electrical, computer, or software engineering is recommended
