Key responsibilities include: 

Identify and evaluate high potential appraisal and/or development opportunities, and progress through the Company’s project management processes as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Deliver geophysical/geologic interpretations and models to support business decisions, forecast reserves, and mature resources to meet gas supply demands.
Responsible for building and maintaining reservoir models to mature development plans, forecast production, and reserves, and incorporate production surveillance information in real-time
Provide structural and stratigraphic 3D and 4D seismic interpretation, reservoir property from seismic analysis, input to reservoir characterization interpretations and reservoir models, well planning, execution and production mapping and surveillance
Assist in the planning and execution of 4D seismic and seismic reprocessing as required. 4D modeling capability and integration with history matching workflows
Provide technical input on the acquisition and interpretation of reservoir surveillance data to inform reservoir offtake decisions
Lead the planning and execution of appraisal, development and infill wells as required.
Accountable for maintenance, QC and management of subsurface data
Provide technical support to projects involving Company’s and Corporate technical teams
Effectively communicate results to local and corporate leadership and other internal stakeholders
Provide general earth science and specialist geophysical leadership and mentoring, influence joint venture partners and communicate key findings to peers and management
Concise written documentation of technical work and development plans
Commitment to health, environment and safety and Company’s best practice

Key skills and experience required: 

Minimum Masters level qualifications in geophysics or related discipline
A minimum of 10 years' international oil and gas exploration industry experience, with a proven track record in offshore, deep-water field appraisal and development
Extensive 3D and/or 4D seismic interpretation experience with complex clastic reservoirs
Ability to effectively integrate geophysical and geological data
Understanding of development geology, geologic depositional environment concepts, building field development plans, reserves estimation, well planning, executing drilling programs, and tracking/monitoring development well results
Demonstrated experience in all phases of subsurface evaluation and project management, from appraisal through greenfield and brownfield development and production surveillance analysis
Timely integration of field surveillance data into the static modeling process
Experience with Petrel software, with the construction of reservoir models including the integration of geophysical data, is preferred
Strong experience with uncertainty management, understanding of experimental design workflows, and data analysis software (SPOTFIRE, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment
Effective communication skills for stakeholder management and cross-functional dialogue
Highly proactive in all areas and the ability to deliver high-quality products on schedule
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to understand and discuss complex technical matters with internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies
