Job Responsibilities
Delivering the goals and plans assigned to the Operations Delivery Team.
Implementing strategies within the OPEX budget planning process for Operations Delivery electrical-related issues, geared towards improving safety, overall equipment reliability, increasing production, and/or reducing the cost of production.
Coordinating with other functions and disciplines i.e. , HSSE, Process, Mechanical, Wells, Sub-Sea, etc. as part of implementing robust and optimized solutions.
Collaborating closely with the Upstream MRTA, Ops Support and WRFM Teams to identify operational constraints and reliability risks to develop cost-effective practical solutions to drive improvements to safety, reliability, unscheduled deferment and costs.
Ensuring HSSE/Electrical Safety compliance, as well as develop/promote continuous improvement initiatives to help cultivate culture of safety within the organization.
Developing and manage contracts for electrical services.
Providing technical expertise in the maintenance of asset integrity management database systems such as Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Document Control.
Specify, Review and Coordinate with TA2s and SMEs on permanent and temporary repairs. This includes performing root cause analysis for failed electrical components.
Participate in the development of the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up plans for Static equipment.
Develop and Support new equipment technologies and identify and facilitate application and deployment, where applicable.
Prepare and execute Management of Change (MOC) proposals as required to support safe production delivery.
Support implementation and continuous improvement of the Asset Management System (AMS) standards and manuals as it relates to Manage Threats and Opportunities (MTO).
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
At least 5 years of electrical engineering experience including working with high voltage equipment to a minimum of 12kV (switching and isolations to the Senior Authorized level and writing complex switching programs) in onshore and offshore gas production and facilities in a client/operator capacity.
Broad knowledge of related disciplines in the related industry. Experience working in multidisciplinary teams to resolves specific technical issues.
Working knowledge in the Electrical Safe Working Practices
Working knowledge in International Standards governing electrical systems and the petrochemical industry
Demonstrable performance and delivery in operations, selection and operation of electrical equipment, across a range of industrial activities.
This should include experience with high and low voltage installations, lighting, grounding, explosion protection (Ex), generators, transformers, etc.
Knowledge level proficiency in Power System Studies, Protection & Control Systems and Electrical Equipment Selection.
Experience in the management of contractors with active involvement in the application of quality assurance and quality control to contractors engineering activities, including reviewing models, calculations, philosophies and designs and active participation in reviews and risk/hazard management activities.
Knowledge of the latest technical developments in the electrical engineering discipline.
