Esg Consultant /senior Esg Consultant

We are a leading ESG advisory practice, working with medium and large organizations to identify, understand and plan for the impact of environmental, social and governance factors on their activities, reputation, and the wider stakeholder community. We are well-respected in our ability to provide expert advice that guides strategic decision-making and enhances the performance of our clients’ organizations in the short, medium and long-term.
We are looking for a consultant to join our growing ESG practice working with our clients across a range of sectors including the oil and gas, financial services, telecommunications, real estate, agricultural, logistics, health care and FMCG sectors. Our work is guided by our core values of innovation, humanity, sustainability and integrity. The ESG consultant/senior consultant will specialise on certain client sectors/segments and work within our ESG advisory team to deliver on client projects. 
Responsibilities
Managing project team to support client ESG needs from strategy development to integration and delivery
Client engagement (interfacing with client’s team)
Conduct assessments: risk assessment, ESG gaps analysis and assessment, materiality assessment, framework development and alignment, stakeholder mapping
Identify innovative and implementable emerging ESG opportunities for client sector
Impact driven focus to enhance value-addition for clients
Develop and deliver on ESG data collection strategy (including surveys, interviews, and documentary review) and analysis
Sustainability reporting: structure and content development
Client and team briefings on ESG reporting landscape, policy and regulatory updates and emerging trends
Workplan management (budget, schedules, and resources)
Preparation of articles/presentations that demonstrate industry-expert level ESG/sustainability knowledge
 
Qualifications and experience
5-7 years of consulting/client-side sustainability/ESG experience
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
Strong analytical skills
Working knowledge of best practice national, regional and international sustainability standards and frameworks (GRI, UNGC, SDGs, IFC PS, etc)
Understanding of past, current and emerging sustainability trends and regulatory requirements
Experience developing and implementing ESG initiatives, an advantage
Passionate about sustainability and enhancing the quality of life through the addressing of development challenges.
Experience conducting workshops and seminars, an advantage
Having ISO14001. ISO45001 will be an added advantage.
