Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose

Responsible for the oversight of Facilities and Real Estate services and processes that support the core business of Oceaneering. Ensure that the Company has the most suitable working environment for its employees and their activities.

Functions

ESSENTIAL
Ensure all facilities and related grounds are maintained to the highest, appropriate standards with safety policies and procedures followed to ensure a safe working environment
Oversight of essential central services, including reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, janitorial, cleaning, catering, waste disposal, vending and recycling. This will include proper vetting for proficiency and cost-effectiveness of the suppliers.
Oversight of work by staff as designated or contractors to ensure completion to agreed scope of work
Act as company point of contact for appropriate real estate brokers in matters of existing and new facilities
In coordination with HSE, ensuring the buildings meets health and safety requirements
Plan best allocation and utilization of space and resources for existing and any future facilities in  Nigeria.
Provide proper guidance to the business regarding possible future developments
Manage and lead change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities
Use performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead on improvement
Responsible for Facilities/Real Estate project management, including supervising and coordinating the work of related contractors
Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
Work with the Nigeria Area Leads on other administrative duties and projects as they arise

NON-ESSENTIAL
Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.

Reporting Relationship
This position will report to the Director, Risk Management and Facilities with a dotted line to the  Nigeria  Area Lead.

Qualifications

REQUIRED
Facilities Management experience, including direct supervision of staff
Customer and client management experience
Experience managing large budgets
DESIRED
Membership or certification from the International Facilities Management Association, and/or a Facilities Management Professional or Certified Facility Manager designation
A foundation degree, HND or degree in facilities management
A related qualification such as project management, engineering, or business studies
Technical knowledge of building services
Experience using Microsoft Office Applications
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Organization skills
Written and verbal communication skills
Problem solving and decision-making ability
