Job Description

In your role of Financial Consultant, you will advise our clients in all their finance management related challenges such as planning, budgeting and forecasting, reporting, consolidation, closing, internal controls, risk,  focus will be on process and financial analysis, using process mapping techniques, workshops, financial modeling (including valuation of financial instruments), and you will design processes and/or configure applications to support the client’s financial needs. you will also become involved in the (re)design of financial processes and in developing and implementing recommendations. Next to that, we are also looking for Financial Consultants to join our Financial Advisory Services team that addresses mergers, acquisitions, disposals and restructurings and real estate services. In that role, you will provide advice, support and solutions for commercial, operational and transaction challenges the client faces.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments of financial processes and risks; 

 Analyse client’s financial past and projected performance and perform company benchmarking; 

 Advise on needed changes in  client’s financial processes, organisation and technology
;
 Design and perform internal control tests to ensure that the client’s financial processes are compliant with the prevailing legislations;

 Define and implement future management reporting; 
 Provide mergers & acquisitions and real estate support; 

 Advise on valuation issues.
Assist Managers to build the financial model in the business valuation for various purposes (e.g. M&A purpose, tax purpose, financial reporting purpose, purchase price allocation, etc.);

Assist Managers to review and build complex and dynamic financial models in various sectors to support clients in sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis and investment return analysis;

Assist the audit team to review the valuation reports prepared by other valuers (e.g. property valuation reports, Purchase price allocation report, goodwill impairment review, etc.) as audit procedures;

Discuss the assumptions that Clients are using in their business plan;

Coach and guide other junior team members

 Candidate requirements:

You have a Master in (Applied) Economics, Commercial Engineering, Management, Finance, Mathematics, Audit, Banking, Actuarial Sciences or any other business related degree.

An additional degree in Finance is not required, but an additional asset.

Strong accounting and financial background (with 2-3 year working experience in audit will be preferred);

Ability to build complex and dynamic financial models;   

Working experience as M&A advisors, financial due diligence advisors will be a plus;

Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
