Fire Fighting Officers

Job Responsibilities
Perform daily inspections and maintenance of fire fighting equipment
Perform fire rescue or fire fighting intervention operations
Act with integrity and professionally while carrying out fire rescue or fire fighting intervention
Evaluate the safety and security of fire scene to determine if the intervention could continue otherwise seeks supervisors permission to withdraw from fire scene.
Always participate in regular fitness exercise and drill in order to remain agile.
Follows the HSE rules and regulations.
Carry out other responsibilities and functions as may be assigned to him
 
Qualifications & Experience
ND NCE with 2 years experience in fire fighting.
Industrial fire fighting certificate from any government training school
Experience in Rescue and Emergency operations
Specific fire fighting training such as Advance Fire fighting training
Membership of a well recognized fire fighting professional body
Able to carry out fire risk assessment while conducting a fire intervention operation.
Be aware of HSE risk of different classes of fire
Hold a current Nigerian Driving License
Ability to perform work requiring good physical condition
Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions
