Responsibilities
A non-exhaustive list of tasks:
Carry out thorough site-based investigations
Gather and accurately record the available evidence
Carry out and amend risk assessments as appropriate prior to and during scene examinations
Obtain and record relevant information from witnesses and other sources
Produce brief preliminary reports to clients promptly and in line with internal and external Service Level Agreements
Conduct detailed examinations and analysis of failed equipment or components
Review technical information including that contained in manuals, maintenance records and drawings and that recorded by official bodies such the Police, the Fire Brigade and the HSE
Analyze information from other investigators or consultants
Be prepared to argue the case with other experts and lawyers
Prepare reports for Court proceedings
Attend client meetings
Ensure exhibits are taken where appropriate, identified, recorded on the appropriate system, retained if appropriate and disposed of when it is right to do so
Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering degree required
Registered as a Chartered Engineer
Minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
Industrial/ Manufacturing background is preferred.
Project Management and/ or Field Investigation experience required.
