Job Description

The Role:
The Geophysics Team Lead reports to the Geology & Geophysics (G&G) Manager and is accountable for leading, mentoring, coaching, and providing technical guidance and assurance for a team of up to eight geophysicists.
 The geophysics team will support development and reservoir surveillance activities for the assets within the PU, focusing on optimizing reservoir recovery, and identify reserves and development opportunities
The Geophysics Team Lead provides direct contact with the geophysical contractor during deepwater field operations and verifies that all contract requirements are adhered to throughout the program.
The Geophysics Team Lead will be responsible for the overall quality of the geophysics deliveries across the asset area.
The Geophysics Technical Team Lead is also responsible for providing detailed technical assurance for development projects, well maturation/delivery, and Well Reservoir Facility Management (WRFM) activities, as well as interprets and ensures discipline compliance with Deepwater standards and processes.
The Geophysics Technical Team Lead  will be required in pre-mobilization project planning
The Geophysics Technical Team Lead has the ability and skills to monitor and advice on operational, data acquisition, equipment, recording, instrumentation, SHE, and positioning matters for the geophysical surveys. 
The Geophysics Technical Team Lead  responsibility for verifying that survey contractors and subcontractors comply with the project plans, contract requirements, SHE requirements, laws and regulations, and industry standards

Qualifications/Experience:
Technical GP with at least fifteen (15+) years industry experience, particularly deepwater production and development. The position requires the candidate to perform seamlessly in multi-disciplinary teams, staff supervision, project assurance, Technical Assurance sign-off, identify and initiate new opportunities, support multiple projects and fields, and work effectively with stakeholders including partners.
Demonstrated proficiency in 3D and 4D seismic interpretations. Ample experience in a variety of seismic data sets including full, wide and narrow azimuth streamer and nodal data. Proficiency in seismic attribute analysis and seismic inversion. Experience in DAS interpretation is a plus.
Proven record of maturing opportunities in deepwater settings Knowledge of deepwater depths of 750 meters to 1000 meters, depositional systems, turbidite reservoir characterization, and fault compartmentalization
 Thoroughly understand subsurface uncertainties (structural positioning, reservoir, and fluid properties) and can fluently relate to business decisions at hand to guide project teams to derive efficient and robust subsurface solutions.
Experience in integrated field studies and reservoir modeling studies with other Petroleum Engineering disciplines is required.
Solid understanding of seismic processing workflow products and latest technology. Able to conduct in-depth technical discussions and provide constructive suggestions in the course of complex imaging projects
Quality Assurance (QA/QC) product group 3.02.01, sub-surface consultancy (Geological, Geophysical, Reservoir) product group 3.02.19 in NipeX Joint Qualification System
Must also have 10 years’ experience in field processing and data management
BSc in sciences; Masters, and/or Ph.D. will be a significant advantage
