Job Description:

Responsible for inspection of instrumentation and control systems and components for on and offshore production systems

Independently perform inspections in accordance with company procedures, specifications and applicable IEEE standards

Report examination results and record data
Work with project team leadership to resolve discrepancies in instrumentation and electrical system conditions

Requirements:

Evidence of prior certification and Instrumentation & Control System Inspector

Technical qualification/certification in E&I discipline is an advantage.

10 plus years recent experience in E&I Quality Inspection related to fabrication, hook-up, commissioning and start-up of process plant(s) and pipelines, onshore or offshore.

3 plus years in site construction role (such as Electrician, Instrument Technician, E&I Foreman, E&I Field Engineer) related to offshore topsides is preferred and must be within the last 5 years.

Industry knowledge of E&I codes and standards and ability to read P&IDs, PFDs, Single Line Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, etc. is required.
Perform inspections fabrication activities and planned on Inspection & Test Plans.

Witness acceptance tests and perform final Quality checks prior to acceptance of equipment and materials.

Responsible for monitoring and appraising Instrumentation construction work for conformance.

Perform assessments and verifications as determined by Surveillance Programs.

Must be proficient in the use of common PC software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, etc. Read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsible for performing instrumentation Quality inspection activities in accordance with Project Quality Plan.

Bachelors of Science Degree Electrical Engineering preferred
Minimum of five years relevant inspection experience

Inspection experience shall demonstrate knowledge of oil and gas production unit instrumentation and controls systems and components.

Must be fluent in English
