Job Summary
We are looking for a strong individual who will ensure all appropriate supplies and equipment are inventoried, received and distributed in accordance with proper and prudent practices. He/She must demonstrate strength in the inventory management process and procedure, as well as transformation. Furthermore, the individual must be able to look across a multiple site or locations and seek opportunities to leverage the wider business requirements of the company. Digitally focused, must have a primary focus on where digital connectivity toolsets that’s will support the forward strategy. Ability to understand the needs of the business and translate these into solutions which deliver safe, reliable, efficient and effective resources which are in line with IPMC values and our client's approach. This position will be reporting to the Inventory manager
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
In conjunction with departments, determine and update appropriate par levels for stock and nonstock supplies
Inventory appropriate departments, which will, in turn, generate both stock and non-stock requisitions
Report and record all incoming shipments, ensuring the accuracy of shipments documentations
Report and record all outgoing shipments, ensuring all necessary approvals are put in place for outgoing supplies
Route documentation slips to appropriate personnel
Establish and maintain a good professional rapport with the client and the procurement department at large.
Adheres to the appropriate and necessary fiduciary, ethical and professional tone of the corporate purchasing function, and delivery of both equipment and material on and off-site
Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Inventory Manager
Essential Skills and Requirements
· A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management and Logistics; or other related fields with a Professional certification in Supply Chain or Procurement is an added advantage
· Minimum 5 years experience in materials/equipments management / storage & handling / inventory & warehouse management
· Should be able to carry out task-based risk assessments for material/equipment handling jobs
· Comprehensive computer skills with practical knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word & Excel)
· Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills in English;
· Solid skills in providing operational excellence in a fast-moving and demanding environment
· Ability to interact confidently and professionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers at a range of levels and knowledge
· Displaying a strong set of personal values which match those of the organization and the vision of the business are essential.
· · Displaying a strong Knowledge of procurement, project monitoring, evaluation, and contract management procedure in oil and gas projects would be considered a merit.
