Role:
Marine mammal expert must be trained and experienced in the use of JNCC guidelines, and qualified to observe and report on cetacean activity in the survey area, having at least 1-year experience in marine mammal observations on marine Seismic crews.

Qualification/Experience:
Extensive marine monitoring experience
Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) experience
Experience of project management, recruiting and supporting personnel
BSc/MSc in Ecology, Marine Mammal Science, Marine Biology and Fisheries, Applied Marine Science, Marine Environmental Protection, Marine Mammal Science, Applied Environmental Studies or similar
Skills:
Ability to work safely on coastal and ocean tugs in varying weather and sea conditions.
Ability to correctly read and record the direction of travel, location by GPS coordinates and physical reference, and distances from vessel to a sighting of a Marine Mammal.
