Job Description

-Independent and impartial assessment of the progress of work
-Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by conducting research programs; applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials, etc
-Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.
-Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
-Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
-Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
-Maintains system and product database by writing computer programs and entering data.
-Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
-Determine critical lines and conduct stress analysis
-Audit and identification of risk including mitigation related to projects as a whole in the oil and gas industry
-Ensure procurement and reconciliation of materials are carried out in accordance with Company procedures to best value and to prevent delays.
-Ensure site team compliance with clients policies and procedures
-Ensure a commercial plan and end of life forecast is in place and monitored monthly for the successful delivery of the project.
-Produce and analyze progress reports, and forecasts.
-Ensure correct engagement of subcontractors, if any.
-Implement the risk management process, review risk register and check risk controls.
-Review the CVRs monthly with the project teams, implementing necessary actions.
-Complete and distribute the Contract Initiation/Completion form for each project phase.
-Ensure weekly review of progress, budget resources, and forward planning are carried out, and look ahead project phases timelines are in place.
-Attend internal and external meetings and ensure the production of accurate records of any discussions and actions.
-Ensure timely management of both temporary and permanent design to meet the requirements of the project.
Qualifications/ Attainments
-HND, B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering
-Professional Qualification i.e. COREN, MNSE
Relevant Experience
-12Years Post Qualification Experience in a consulting firm.
-Previous technical experience as a Mechanical Engineer  in Oil and Gas industry (Consultant capacity)
-Experience in EPC projects
-Good knowledge of engineering software tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc).
-Skilled in the use of Material Requirements Planning (MRP)Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, Word, as well as SharePoint
-Knowledge of project material management.
CPM (Critical Path Method) Scheduling
-Ability of WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)
-Communication skills
-Strong administrative and organizational skills
-Ability to make productive decision
-Knowledge of project material management.
