Job Description
Purpose & Accountabilities:
To the delivery and maintenance, standard and consistent full suite of Project Services (ie. Planning, Cost Estimate, Cost Control and Risk Management for a portfolio of IPMC Limited Growth projects).
Accountabilities could be summarized as follows:
Planning
Deliver and maintain realistic schedule plans and project control structures
Liaise pro-actively with all disciplines involved in the projects to develop and update project plans and schedules
Review and verify operators and contractors reported progress and schedules
Support the Operational Plan, LES and Decision Gates, providing credible and up to date information
Prepare regular and comprehensive Schedule Status Reports
Support the assurance process by preparing specific presentations and analysis
Cost Estimate
Utilize cost methodologies and tools to produce upstream project estimates
Incorporate project complexity factors into project estimates and assemble key input data such as project objectives, scope, and execution plan
Perform scenario comparisons and uncertainty analysis and sensitiveness on cost estimates, reflecting analysis of project risks
Support reviews and assurance of cost estimates
Benchmark against historical performance and established KPIs
Develop Estimate Plan/Basis detailing how the estimate will/was be developed
Cost Control
Deliver consistent and appropriate cost management structures for standalone projects
Roll-out of the company standard tools and processes, as appropriate for each project's life cycle development and execution phase
Support delivery of cost management solutions for major complex projects
Implementation of cost breakdown structure (CBS) and their population from estimate
Prepare work breakdown structure (WBS)
Generate accurate monthly cost reports, highlighting variances from the plan on commitment, value of work done, management of changes and currency fluctuations against approved AFEs
Analyze trends and the highlight potential impacts of changes on cost
Assist in peer reviews and assurance events
Maintain and promote realism in the cost forecasts
Maintain consistency in cost bases through rigorous adherence to the controls processes
Risk Management
Establish and maintain risk management systems
Ability to apply both qualitative and quantitative Risk Management theories, tools and techniques
Conduct Schedule & Cost Risk Analysis (CSRA)
Develop overview reports of risk/opportunity status for management
Maintain and manage project risk registers, presenting risk management status to project leadership
Interface with project team members to discuss and challenge risk status and close out references
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or any related field of study
Minimum of 8 years' experience in Project Services focused Planning and Cost Control
Knowledgeable in using Primavera
Have been responsible for the cost management of elements of project scope or a portfolio of prospects
Have had full responsibility for establishing, managing and delivering Project Schedule/Planning, Cost Estimate, Cost Control, and Risk Management activities for at least one sizable project
Excellent communication, integration and relationship skills, with experience in working in both NOV and SOV projects
