JOB DESCRIPTION
The Rig Assistant works with the Rig Operator in the installation and service of continuous sucker rod, pumps, drive units, and other well-site equipment. While adhering to all operational and safety procedures and guidelines.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Assists in the installation and servicing of well site equipment, including continuous sucker rod, downhole pump and surface wellhead equipment.
Ensures tight connections on CoRod, subsurface equipment, polish rod, BOP and wellhead surface equipment.
Ensures proper handling, use and maintenance of equipment and tools on the rig.
Participates in daily/monthly safety meetings.
Immediately communicates all safety, operational and environmental concerns to the rig operator or supervisor.
Maintains a clean working area: customer lease, rig, truck and shop yard.
Observes job procedures and identifies problems, provides suggestions for controlling or eliminating problems, actively participates in continuous process improvement.
Participates in HOW 5 reporting.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Six months pulling unit experience required.
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
