Job Responsibilities

 You will be responsible for:

Implement well programs, making sure all equipment required for each phase is ready in advance

Assisting the Drilling Supervisor in all phases of Well design programs

Identify tasks for TL Support Groups and submit them for approval

Submit material request for approval and processing
Ensuring all improvement opportunities are identified and implemented

Pre-plan, organize and supervise the crews to perform operations of the critical path when ever possible, making maximum use of all personnel assigned to the rig and various support groups

Ensure effective handovers for the Night Toolpusher
Review the drilling operation plan with the Drilling Supervisor each morning

Ensuring that the Drilling Supervisor is made aware of abnormal hole conditions or equipment problems in a timely manner
Issue instructions in writing to the rig crew after review with the Drilling Supervisor

Monitor critical equipment to ensure it is performing as required and detect failures in a timely manner

Review spare parts inventories to ensure sufficient spares for critical equipment are available

Qualifications Needed

Experience as Day Toolpusher, preferably on a land base environment

University Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.

Good knowledge of general drilling systems for land based operations

Working knowledge of HSE practices common to the company and the industry
