Role Summary:
The SCM consultant will work with both the internal SAP Support team and third party/back office support consultants to deliver SAP solutions in order to meet business requirements. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills and be able to suggest where SAP standard functionality can be used.
The candidate must be capable of delivering enhancements or new functionality, which will assist the company in streamlining business processes, driving down process costs and simplifying business procedures.
Responsibilities
Resolution and investigation of incidents
Delivery of solutions based on business requirements highlighted through change requests
Providing functional and technical specifications
Assistance to Integration, Basis, Functional and 3rd parties consultants
Key liaison role with SAP coordinators, business process owners, and key users
Participation in projects from pre-project stages to project delivery and support
Create training documentation
Unit, integration, and coordination of user acceptance testing
Proactively suggesting business improvements, particularly working with the SAP ERP6.0 EhP strategy
Quality checks/peer group review of configuration
Provide support for key interfaces
Proactively promote SAP SCM best practices to improve and support effective business processes
Key Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree/Equivalent in Engineering or other related fields
Must have strong MM functional and configuration expertise
Understanding and configuration experience of release strategies at both requisition and purchase order level
Experience in working with Remote Logistics Management (RLM)
Strong knowledge of SAP MM Integration with other SAP modules (in particular Plant Maintenance and FI)
Functional and configuration experience of the Sales and Distribution module is desirable, but not essential.
Experience in SAP Ariba would be an advantage.
Previous experience with SAP IS-Oil solution is advantageous
