Job Description
The Senior Electrical Engineer will be part of the electrical team to ensure the safe operation/reliability and integrity of the power generation & distribution system. Support of specialist's type activities, Electrical Network Monitoring, and Control (ENMC) system, UPS, Integrated Motor Control System (IMCS), Variable Speed Drives, Electrical Equipment installed in a Hazardous Area, relay testing and overall electrical activities.
Responsibilities
Drive Electrical Safety and commitment to HSSE goals, including compliance with the Life-Saving Rules and Goal Zero target and incorporating these into the Electrical engineering assurance processes.
Ensures plant integrity through evaluation, development, and implementation of Electrical Power Generation and Distribution Inspection and Maintenance Strategies & Acceptance Standards that are based on applicable international/Shell standards and statutory requirements.
Act as focal point for the Electrical Network Monitoring and Control (ENMC) system and LV Integrated Monitoring Control System (IMCS). Maintain a stable electrical network through active ENMC/IMCS equipment monitoring and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment across the facility.
Ensure compliance with the ignition control requirements and Electrical Equipment Installed in a Hazardous Area (EEHA). IEC 60079 Standards.
Electrical discipline engineer providing discipline support for operating offshore asset. Including Periodic visits as required.
Execute technical work within designated CTR scopes in Brownfield projects.
Support Electrical team lead as necessary in investigations and presenting report findings.
Ensures that electrical documentation/data are kept up-to-date
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Electrical engineering or other related fields
Demonstratable experience in the Oil and Gas industry covering power generation, electrical distribution, electrical installation, maintenance execution, and electrical protection inspection/testing.
Experience of Offshore Operation, maintenance, and execution
Experience in troubleshooting and analysis of equipment performance is required. Integrity management through the application of risk and reliability-centered maintenance techniques and root cause analysis are required.
Exposure to turnaround and projects planning and the development and application of quality management systems is required.
Other necessary experience includes proven facilitation experience, good presentation and writing skills, appreciation of cultural diversity, and a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
The incumbent will need to determine risk-based maintenance techniques appropriate to meet operational requirements and equipment integrity
Crucial to the success of this role is the ability to work collaboratively and lead effectively across multi-functional teams and interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, based in various locations, and being able to work autonomously.
