Contribute to a diverse range of water-related projects covering environmental impact assessment (EIA) flood risk assessment (FRA) Water Framework Directive compliance water resources planning and policy.
Set up field projects including laboratories and subcontractors and obtaining necessary equipment
Carried out Field work including drilling and well construction oversight soil sampling and logging groundwater monitoring soil gas sampling aquifer testing field mapping and trench logging
Ensure projects are performed safely
Prepare Geologic hydrogeologic and geochemical data analysis and interpretation
Preparation of draft technical reports including technical writing development of report tables and figures
Searching for and organizing data and information
Data analysis and modelling
Supporting the development of proposals for new projects
Skills and Qualifications
Requirements
Advanced degree (PhD or Masters) in environmental engineering Hydrology Hydrogeology civil engineering environmental science natural resource management geography or a related field from a recognized university.
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in the environmental sector including proven experience in environment health and safety (EHS) risk assessment occupational health and safety (OHS) due diligence environmental site assessment and compliance audits.
NEBOSH and ISO 14001 2015 Certification.
Familiarity with Microsoft Access and ESRI ArcGIS software to manage and visualize data
Familiarity with numerical model application using MODFLOW and MT3D with Groundwater Vistas
Familiarity with numerical analysis of aquifer test data using AQTESOLV and other methods
Strong analytical technical writing, organization and communication skills
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
