Description:
Responsible for well production optimization of assigned oil and gas fields.
Recommends well workovers based on integrated analysis of reservoir, wellbore and facilities data.
Collaborates with technical and service companies on innovations and solutions to production problems.
Establish liaison with all departments to enable fulfillment of well workovers and production strategies.
Main Functions of the Job:
Under the supervision of the Division Coordinators, the Senior Petroleum Engineer will:
Complete reviews of drilling, wellbore, reservoir and production data.
Prepare well workover, production and testing programs.
Coordinate with service companies on actual workover operations in the field.
Review field operations and present production strategies to upper management.
Conduct research and piloting of innovative workover and production solutions.
Provide petroleum engineering expertise in all technical and operational work.
This position's contribution is to improve company production by meeting the company's goals and objectives thereby increasing the value of the company.
This involves working with the other departments as necessary. In addition this candidate will assist in training and mentoring of junior staff in the division.
Qualifications:
A degree in petroleum, reservoir or chemical engineering with preference given to candidates with proven field operational experience and good proficiency in the English language.
A minimum of 15 years of experience performing a similar position in the oil and gas industry.
Experince in Oilfield Manager (OFM) and Prosper would be advantageous
