Essential Responsibilities:

Project budgeting, margin reviews:

•Engage with Project Directors, Operations and Cost Controller to develop the Project Margin Review model on a quarterly basis

•Drive margin expansion and monitor project costs on a continuous basis by working with the product line cost controllers

•Lead internal commercial & strategy discussions to seek opportunities for margin accretion

•Own communication of key project metrics and lead the development of enhanced analytics to support SPS goals and objectives.

Quarterly closing and reporting activities:

•Lead quarterly closing activities for the portfolio of projects across the various legal entities (SOP81-1 accounting)

•Provide timely inputs during the closing process to the G-16 Treasury teams, SPS FP&A, and Controllership teams

•Perform ongoing ad hoc reporting based on SPS internal business needs

•Lead automation of PMR processes to drive simplification and productivity

•Support account reconciliation activities on the relevant SPS accounts Special projects 

•Align with Treasury, Controllership, Tax and Regional finance teams to repatriate cash from Fx sensitive countries

Qualifications/Requirements:

•Bachelor or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration

•Experience in managing large and complex EPC projects and SOP 81-1 accounting 

•Execution Oriented: Confidence to challenge operations teams on budgets; work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE values

•Problem solving, imaginations and abstract thinking

•Excellent communication skills; experience working across multiple levels of operations, functions, and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manager; able to deliver a message effectively, verbally and in writing 

•Experience working in a global business environment with a sound understanding of the global process, foreign exchange and transactional flaws

•Experience of complex international legal entity structures and restructuring of entities 

•Adaptable/flexible; being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

•IT literacy: Ability to leverage tools and build on IT vision to support simplification, efficiency, and quality output 

•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
