Essential Responsibilities:
  
Provide technical service expertise for desalting technologies, including crude oil management, demulsification, and contaminate removal technologies
Troubleshoot desalting field issues including demulsifier products, chemical injection, management of crude oil feedstocks, and mechanical operations of desalters
Visit field to audit desalting operations at refineries and identify opportunities to improve and optimize system performance
Interact with customers (both internal and external) to discuss technical issues, answer questions, and make technical presentations
Coordinate field trials of new products for desalting technology
Write reports for customer, customer presentations, and participates in teaching classes
Handle special projects as assigned
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelors of Science Degree
15+ years of experience with oilfield chemicals
10+ years of experience with demulsification, crude oil management, and/or desalting
Field experience in refineries
Field laboratory experience
Customer interaction experience
Strong presentation and writing skills

Desired Characteristics:

Visio experience
Chem CAD or Petro-SIM experience
Able to work with a significant amount of autonomy
Experience formulating and testing demulsifiers
Basic computer programming experience
Strong mechanical aptitude
