-Fully versed and can check work sequence, general content, and the methods used to generate specifications for the purchase of material, equipment, systems, services, or construction within civil/structural discipline.
-Fully versed with the process of preparing and checking calculations within civil/structural discipline.
-Able to learn and use basic CAD sketching tools.
-Can read and understand construction drawings.
-Fully versed in the collection and/or evaluation of data and -information regarding technical and economic factors relating to civil/structural engineering.
-Has a full understanding of external factors that impact specific engineering problems.
-Fully understands the use of requisitions and the role of materials management.
-Reviews and advises on purchase orders and subcontracts.
-Assists with the development of manpower, man-hour, and labor cost requirements to aid in evaluating the budget.
-Takes the lead on estimating tasks and performs material take-offs for civil/structural discipline.
-Advanced knowledge of civil/structural discipline's material costs, equipment, and materials lists.
-Understands cost analysis and forecasting.
-Understands the planning and scheduling of engineering tasks.
-Understands project change order process and can identify a potential change.
-Understands the work sequence, general content, and the methods used to generate specifications for the purchase of material, equipment, systems, services, or construction within civil/structural discipline.
-Can integrate all project functional requirements into a complete project plan.
-May provide technical guidance to less experienced engineering staff.
-Maintains positive working relationships with peer leaders.
-Builds productive relationships with organizations within and external to engineering.
Job Requirements:
-Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from reputable University
-6 years of structural engineering experience.
-Experience using STAADPro.
-Experience with Industrial, Power, and/or Petrochemical plants preferred.
