-Ensures fit-for-purpose engineering of the civil/structural and marine works by means of application of appropriate technical design and engineering standards in conjunction with the EPC Contractor and any subcontractors
-Manages and coordinates the civil/structural activities to a team of Engineers & Designers and provides technical supervision of the day-to-day activities of tasks assigned to personnel
-Provide technical services in the areas of Marine Engineering - wharves, jetties, ports, terminals, dolphins, trestles and walkways, gangways, and their foundations
-Lead and manage various technical studies such as marine navigational studies, vessel mooring/berthing studies, fendering studies, dredging requirement studies, gangway selection study, and constructability study
-Prepare or direct the project team in the preparation of marine structural design, drawings, layouts, schematics, material take-off, etc.
-Develop marine specifications such as structural specifications for fenders, bollards, dredging, specifications for steel, concrete piles, timber pile driving, precast / cast-in-place concrete, concrete reinforcements, cathodic protection, navigational aids, etc.
-Gather, research and analyses pertinent data and information and prepare recommendations with supporting technical data
-Liaise with other discipline engineers and end-users, co-ordinate with external consultants, in order to develop cost-effective and fit-for-purpose design solutions, to fit project requirements
-Prepare tender document and assist in tender evaluation process
-Prepare and deliver presentations of various general arrangements, berthing options, fendering options, structural options, and cost estimates, etc. to clients
-Contribute towards updating discipline Engineering Codes, Standards, Specifications and Philosophies
-Undertake business development
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
-Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
-10 years of Civil/Structural engineering experience
-Strong technical and data analysis skills
-Working knowledge of common structural engineering software such as STAAD, SAP
-Excellent communication skills, team player able to work in a diversified and demanding environment
