Job Description

-Be an integral part of the firm's Financial Advisory Practice, working in conjunction with the Tax Partners and Senior managers
-Provide fluid due diligence from a tax perspective on merger and acquisition transactions
-Provide timely communication focusing on key risks and potential adjustments to purchase price
-Be able to create tailored solutions and deliver industry expertise to our clients
-Act as a technical resource on all tax issues
-Respond to inquiries from other offices, both nationally and internationally
Responsible for developing and maintaining superior client relationships
Provide tax technical support (review and manage) on complex issues related to individual income tax returns
Participate in strategic marketing and branding initiatives to increase revenues
-Conduct and present in  technical sessions, focusing on recent developments  to professionals throughout the firm
-Help develop marketing materials to highlight the firm's Financial Advisory Practice capabilities
-Develop outside relationships with a goal of fostering business development opportunities through involvement in leadership roles in professional groups, community service, and personal relationships with other professional advisors such as attorneys, investment advisors, insurance advisors, and private bankers
-Share responsibility for all business aspects of client relationships including billing, collecting and maintaining profitability
-Ability to cross-sell other departments of the firm using this leading niche of the firm's business plan, such as valuation services, wealth management, estate planning
-Develop, educate and train staff and assist in the growth and development of the Firm's professional team members
Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline
-Professional membership of Chartered Institute of Accountant of Nigeria a must
10 + years of relevant tax experience at a public accounting firm
Broad exposure to federal and state income taxation
Superior skills in the following areas:
Buy-side and sell-side Tax Due Diligence for Mergers and acquisitions - Federal, State, and International
Tax Structure Analysis
Communication skills, knowledge, and experience to Optimize Tax Position to Achieve tax efficiencies on transactions - --Tax Structuring for various Merger and Acquisitions transactions
Review of Tax Filings and Reporting Requirements, Domestic and International
Federal, State, and Local Income and other Tax Planning and Consulting-Knowledge of private equity and well entrepreneurial environments
Be able to work at the fast pace of deals, providing timely communication on key risks and potential adjustments
-Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Industry experience should include manufacturing and distribution, publishing, media, and communications
-Strong leadership, training, mentoring and staff development skills
-Ability to develop future leaders of the firm and lead by positive example
-Professionalism, dependability, integrity, and trustworthiness combined with a team mentality
-Be highly motivated with the ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
-Strong commitment to professional advancement
