Responsibilities: 
Conducts all business activities in accordance to company HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Values

Responsible for providing sales support and technical selling drill bit product application recommendations 

Provide technical support in all aspects of drilling systems optimization

Qualify customer objectives and needs 

Coordinates with Area Engineering teams to implement Area-specific product strategies and best practices

Meet with customers on a regular basis to provide technical support and recommendations

Travel to areas to ride in the field and visit customers at rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, etc.

Responsible for product testing, analyzing and documenting product performance

Capture best practices in appropriate knowledge management systems

Provides technical guidance and presentations to customers relating to product performance and new drill bit technology

Will investigate unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative actions

Provides technical consultation to customers on product and/or performance issues

Qualifies customer for Drilling Optimization and Application Engineering projects and coordinates efforts.

Handles special projects, as assigned 

Qualifications/Requirements: 
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
3+ years of drill bits technical or related experience

Strong MS Office experience

Thorough understanding of Well planning, drilling optimization, formation evaluation tools, and rig operations

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

Must be a team player and willing to work in a team environment 

Desired Characteristics: 
Strong leadership skills

Good problem solver that is willing to increase their knowledge base in drill bit and drilling systems applications within the oilfield industry

Sound working knowledge of the concepts of hydraulics modeling, drilling optimization, and drilling operations 

A solid understanding of drilling dynamics/dysfunctions, and be skilled in the interpretation of downhole vibration data sets

Comfortable presenting in front of an audience of experienced peers

Rig site drilling optimization experience is a definite plus

Ability to learn and use various computer tools to prepare data and visualizations for analysis

Experience in a Sales and/or Applications Engineering role is preferred

Experience working in a team environment

Ability to work independently
